Setting off on a life-changing journey can be daunting. But, with some commitment and a dive into the world of keto, I’m faced with a surprisingly surprising amount of health benefits and delicious recipes.
- The Keto Diet: For those who don’t know, the ketogenic, or keto diet, is a high-fat, low-carbohydrate way of eating. The goal is to replace your carbs with fat; when combined with a consistent workout regime, this way of eating has been proven to have a number of health benefits.
- Getting Ready: Like all endeavors, getting the right equipment and setting up your workspace is key. I’ve had to invest in a few keto cookbooks and a few keto-friendly ingredients. It took me a few weeks to settle into a new routine and get used to the new way of cooking.
- A Week Later: Now that I’ve settled into the keto routine, I’m feeling energetic and on top of my game. A noticeable difference I’ve seen with the Keto diet is that I’m never “hangry”- the dreaded feeling of hunger and anger that can come with the regular diet.
Overall, I’m really amazed at the positive effect that the keto diet has been having on my lifestyle. From greater energy levels to being able to enjoy meals without feeling guilty, I’m so excited to keep going on this journey of wellness.

Don’t be afraid to reach out when you feel stuck. Enrolling in online courses can quite often involve active discussions with peers and tutors. Knowing that there’s somebody there to help – no matter how small the task – is incredibly useful when feeling overwhelmed by the learning curve.
Remember, it’s also normal to feel overwhelmed occasionally, and as an online learner, you have the opportunity to be resilient in the face of challenges, learn from them, and turn disadvantages into advantages. So, embrace the journey and enjoy the ride!

Life is full of wonderful surprises and you never know who or what will help you achieve. For example:

- An old friend who randomly called you, plugs you into a great job opportunity
- A mentor you didn’t quite asked for but whom you became close with
In the end, you’ll find that your biggest support and motivation usually come from people and places you’d never have expected. Don’t be afraid to spread your wings, make connections and get out of your comfort zone. Even the smallest of actions can be the start of something huge!

Whether you’re trying to boost your energy levels and improve focus or just aiming for a healthier diet that supports your lifestyle, the basic principles remain the same. Here are a few tips you can start applying today:

Include all the major food groups such as fruits, vegetables, dairy, whole grains, protein, and healthy fats. Don’t forget that variety is also key to maintaining optimal wellbeing and preventing boredom with your food.

5.The Triumph of Reaching my Goals and Loving the Results
There’s nothing quite like the feeling of achieving a success I set out for. A goal I set for myself, worked hard for, and ultimately achieved. The accomplishment is like a drug — it fills me with immense joy and satisfaction. But the triumph of reaching that end goal does not end there.
The Journey is the Reward. Yes, it’s true that setting goals and pushing ourselves towards them leads to amazing successes and feats very few can attest to. But, it’s during the process of getting to that destination where the real rewards lay. When facing the challenges, inevitable stumbles, and even sometimes, failure, the learning experience is invaluable. Keeping up the hard work and striving towards success, makes it all the more gratifying when the goal is reached.
Achievement is even sweeter when you can love the results. And this is really what it’s all about:

- Being proud of what I can do
- Having self-confidence
- Seeing progress day after day
- Everyday feeling like a victory
It’s why each obstacle feels like an adventure; why every mistake feels an opportunity to grow; and why I’m ultimately able to reach new heights. And that’s the real triumph!

Q: What motivated you to start keto?
A: I had been struggling with restrictive calorie counting, yo-yo dieting, and bouts of binge eating for most of my life. Then a few months ago, I realized that if I was going to make a change that would last, I needed to make a complete lifestyle overhaul. When I learned about the health benefits offered by the keto diet, I knew right away that this was the eating lifestyle that worked best for me.
Q: What’s been your experience so far?
A: Since starting keto, I’ve already lost 7 pounds and seen a few other health benefits. I feel more energetic and alert during the day, and my cravings for processed and high-sugar foods have all but gone. I haven’t felt this good in years!
Q: How have you found long term success?
A: One of the biggest things I’ve found that helps is finding new and creative ways to stay keto. I love experimenting with new recipes, trying out low-carb recipes, and even working with a nutritionist to come up with tailored meal plans. It keeps things fun and interesting, and helps me stay on track long-term.
Keto has been a journey for me, one that I’m glad I was brave enough to undertake. Along the way I’ve made newfound discoveries about myself and my body, and feel I’m walking away with a new way of living life.
